Islanders entered the “path of total distraction” Monday morning as residents across Bainbridge took time out to watch the solar eclipse.
People held watch parties across the island, while others gathered at Battle Point Park or in small groups along the shoreline. Manitou Beach proved to be a popular viewing location, as drivers parked along the narrow roadway and in the street to watch the moon photobomb the sun.
Luciano Marano caught all the action at Battle Point Park, while Brian Kelly found folks watching the skies in Rolling Bay. Here’s a gallery of some of their favorite photos from the eclipse.
