Washington State Ferries has announced that the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route will be served by just one vessel following the medical emergency onboard the ferry M/V Wenatchee earlier in Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal after a crew member on board the Wenatchee reportedly suffered a heart attack the morning of May 29.
Initial sailings were canceled for the 11:30 a.m. sailing from Bainbridge and the 12:25 p.m. sailing from Seattle, and WSF announced just before 1:30 p.m. that the route was down to one-boat service until further notice.
