Police are seeking help in finding a man who robbed at Key Bank in Poulsbo Thursday morning.
Some of the money that was stolen was recovered nearby.
At 9:46 a.m. Poulsbo police and surrounding law enforcement agencies responded to an armed robbery at the bank at 19735 10th Ave. NE. A lone male inferred he had a weapon, demanded cash from the teller, then left, reportedly getting assistance with transportation from the crime scene.
While enroute, officers were updated with a location in a residential neighborhood about a mile from the bank. Officers canvassed the area. Some money was recovered but the suspect had left in a car.
The vehicle was older and black, similar to a Honda Fit. Police in Kitsap County are on the lookout. Witnesses saw a possible suspect running through the area prior to the arrival of police.
Poulsbo police, with assistance from the FBI and surrounding police agencies, are coordinating their efforts. Anyone with information should call 9-1-1 and speak to a Poulsbo police officer.
