Competitions are taking place this weekend to see who will advance to state next weekend.

North Kitsap plays White River at 1 p.m. Saturday at Foss High School in Tacoma. If it wins, it will play after that for a chance to go to 2A state May 27-28 in Yakima.

For both boys and girls, after competing in the 2A Olympic League meet Monday in Kingston, qualifiers will compete in the district meet this weekend in Bremerton.
Bainbridge competes in 3A regionals starting Wednesday in Kent.
Qualifers at both levels advance to state the following weekend at Mount Tahoma in Tacoma.
Soccer
Bainbridge plays Monroe Friday in Anacortes. If it wins, it likely plays top-ranked Mount Vernon Saturday. The winner goes to the 3A semifinals the following weekend at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
Softball
North Kitsap beat Gig Harbor 12-10 Monday, while Olympic beat Bainbridge 14-7. Kingston plays at Central Kitsap against Klahowya Tuesday.
For postseason play, Kingston, seeded 14th, plays No. 9 Orting May 20. The loser is out, while the winner plays the next day.
North Kitsap, seeded 4th, plays No. 5 Olympic May 20. If the Vikings win they play the next day for a chance to go to 2A state in Selah May 27-28. If they lose they play later that same day against either Highline or Franklin Pierce in a loser-out game.
Golf
Boys and girls both play Tuesday at Dungeness in Sequim. State for 2A is the following weekend with the boys at Capitol City and the girls at Tumwater Valley, both in the Olympia area.
For 3A, Bainbridge boys would play at Liberty Lake in Spokane and the girls at Meadowwood in Tacoma.
Tennis
Girls play Friday and Saturday in Bremerton.
Those who qualify for 2A state will play the following weekend at Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle.
Even though boys qualified in the fall, their state competition is also next week.
For 3A, Bainbridge boys and girls qualifiers would play in Richland at either Coumbia Basin Racquet Club, Claybell Park or Howard Amon Park.
