Sunday, Feb. 3
4:34 a.m. Suquamish police notified Bainbridge officers about a man known for having three warrants for his arrest. An officer was dispatched to Clearwater Casino to apprehend the man. The man was found at the slot machines. An officer asked the man if he knew that he had any warrants. The man replied, “Yeah, you caught me.” He was arrested.
11:50 a.m. A resident at an assisted living home became combative with nurses. He knocked his medication out of nurses’ hands and then locked himself in a room. Police arrived and the man was combative with them as well. Police and the man engaged in a brief tussle as he flailed about. He then sat down and allowed medics to tend to him.
4:15 p.m. Police respond to a verbal dispute at a residence on High School Road. A man wanted police to remove his girlfriend and her friend from his apartment. The woman left without incident.
Saturday, Feb. 2
3:41 p.m. An island woman reported that a man she had a protection order against was leaving her notes. The woman previously dated the man but they were no longer seeing each other and he was ordered not to contact her. But when she went on a walk through Battle Point Park she found notes taped to a park bench that she and her ex had frequented. The notes were laminated, making them weather proof. They used similar phrases that the man used in emails to the woman. Police contacted the man who admitted to leaving the notes, but said that they were left before the woman had filed for a protection order.
Monday. Feb. 4
8:50 a.m. A man reported that power tools were stolen from a job site on Aaron Avenue. The items stolen had a value of $1,200.
