Bainbridge Island Museum of Art has three concerts coming up as part of its “Snowglobe Concert Series.”

The first is Dec. 4 and will include the Francesco Crosara Trio, with special guest vocalist Gail Pettis on vocals.

BIMA welcomes renowned jazz pianist Crosara, accompanied by Clipper Anderson on bass and Mark Ivester on drums.

Originally from Milan, Italy, Crosara’s music melds an impressive mix of jazz improvisation, a romantic vein from his classical training, along with Latin influences. Inspired by pianists like Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, Crosara brings his own distinctive style to the stage.

General admission for the 7 p.m. concert is $25, with it costing $22 for members.

Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. is Snowglobe party night, a celebration of local hip-hop and experimental art-rock talent as Upper Left and Spawn of the Machines bring it to BIMA.

Upper Left lights up BIMA with an evening of hip hop, r&b, and good grooves. The dynamic ensemble features a range of talent from the West Sound. Their influences range from J. Cole and 50 Cent to the sounds of 98.9 KWJZ Smooth Jazz, various soul, and Motown artists, and gospel —with some Kung Fu and Manga (Japanese comic books) thrown in.

Opening is Spawn of the Machines, a newly founded group from Seattle. They’re fascinated by exploring the connection between music and the fine arts. Calder Bischoff is a producer, composer, and musician living in Seattle, but originally from BI.

Tickets are $12 and $8.

African American Choir Ensemble, or ACE, will perform Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.

It was founded by Seattle’s renowned Northwest African American Museum as a response to the racial reckoning of 2020-21. From their A cappella rendition of “O-o-h Child” by the Chicago soul band, the Five Stairsteps, to their powerful message of resilience, hope, and love, ACE promises to be an evening that helps us all find a way forward.
