Bainbridge and North Kitsap both came into the final swim meet of the season Jan. 25 undefeated, but when it was over the Spartans were the only squad still that way.

The teams met at North Kitsap Community Pool with BHS winning 125-55. Bainbridge nearly swept the top three places in 11 events.

Spartan Curtis Stewart was one of the top performers of the meet, earning 28 team points. He finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-butterfly. He also finished first in the 200-free relay with Cash Brooks, Rylan Hopp and Jason Nordgren. He ended the meet with his fourth first-place finish in the 400 free relay with Robbie Nakhuda, Eddie Nakhuda and Sota Inoue. Spartan Jason Geddes capped off the individual part of the meet with his state-qualifying time in the 100 backstroke in 1:05.43.

Rydley Strong was the only Viking to win an event with 118.70 points in diving with teammate Justin Anderson in second with 108.10. Levi McClain had a second-place finish in the 200 free and third place in the 100 breaststroke. Ian Stefanski was the only other Viking to finish second in an individual event, earning a silver medal in the 200 medley behind Nakhuda of BHS.

Elias Dean, Thomas Witty, Inoue and Jason Nordgren started the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1 minute, 42.48 seconds. NK’s August Maberry, Stefanski, Gage Hendryx and Mac McKinnon were the top Viking relay team, finishing third in 1:50.59.
