A person was temporarily trapped in the elevator at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Wednesday.

The elevator became stuck between floors shortly before noon Oct. 30.

Museum spokeswoman Renate Raymond said the elevator was quickly reopened.

“It’s no longer stuck. The fire department responded and so did the elevator mechanic,” Raymond said.

Raymond estimated the person was stuck in the elevator between 10 to 15 minutes.

A diagnostic check is currently being done to uncover the reason for the glitch, she said.
