Energy discount
Puget Sound Energy will host a workshop on its Bill Discount Rate program from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Bainbridge Island Library.
After that until 12:30 p.m. PSE will provide application assistance. Customers can bring their utility bill or PSE account number.
The program provides income-eligible customers with ongoing help on monthly energy bills. Depending on your household income and household size, you can save 5% to 45% per month on your bill. Applying only takes a few minutes to fill out the online application. No income documentation or social security number is required to apply.

Weed Warriors
Weed Warriors will be having a cleanup Dec. 9 from 1-3 p.m. at Strawberry Plant Park where a stalwart forest of madrone, western red cedar, fir, maple, and native willow are emerging from the blackberries, ivy, and Scotch broom that have been dug out.
