BHS 4th out of 200 in cross country meet

The Bainbridge High School Cross Country team placed fourth in the Tahoma Coed Relays at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley Sept. 7.

For this season-opener, teams enter five-person relay groups, of which there were over 200. The top three teams were Sunset High School, a 6A team out of Portland, OR, and two 4A teams from Washington state: Eastlake and Redmond. BHS is a much smaller school at 2A.

The fourth-place team included seniors Marcus Stroman and Mairin O’Brien; junior Ben Crandall; sophomores Evelyn Shutske and Ryan Dodge. Another Spartan team finished 13th.
