2 dead in possible homicide near Poulsbo; suspect in custody

Student at NKHS was one of the victims

23-year-old Seth K. South was arrested Oct. 9 on suspicion of killing two teenage boys who were found dead at a home in the 16000 block of Scandia Road NW near Poulsbo, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Both the suspect and the victims are related, per KCSO. Detectives are working to confirm the nature of that relationship. One of the victims was a student at North Kitsap High School, interim superintendent Rachel Davenport announced in a letter to the community.

“This heartbreaking event has deeply affected all of us, and our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time, ” Davenport’s letter says. “We will have grief counselors available at the school for students and staff as we process this unimaginable loss together.”

Deputies responded to a 911 call at a home in the area around 3 p.m. and located the two dead victims. Detectives found evidence resulting in the warrant for South’s arrest.

South was arrested in King County without incident and was booked into Kitsap jail on suspicion of two charges of second-degree murder and one assault charge.

Law enforcement worked at the crime scene through the night.
