Kitsap court cases

Another suspect charged in organized crime spree

Another person was charged in Kitsap County Superior Court Dec. 4 related to an organized retail theft crime spree.

Two 20-year-old Bremerton men were charged the day before.

The third suspect also faces 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines. His bail was $55,000.

Court records say this 27-year-old Bremerton man was involved with at least two other employees in taking thousands of dollars in merchandise from the Sportsman’s Warehouse in Silverdale.

The three were seen on CCTV taking merchandise through each other’s registers and either not charging to switching tickets so they would pay much less than the regular price. High-end firearm optics were placed in ammunition cans that were then placed under the hunting counter. The ammo cans were scanned at the appropriate price, but the optics inside were not included. The loss targeted to this suspect was almost $6,700.

Woman charged for court-order violations with parents

A 52-year-old Indianola woman was in Superior Court Dec. 4 charged with three crimes.

She faces residential burglary (10 years in prison, $20,000 fine maximum); and two violations of court order (1 year, $5,000 each).

Courts records show Kitsap deputies responded Dec. 2 to Division Street NE in Indianola. The woman is seen on security cameras at the home of her parents, who have a protection order against her to stay 1,000 feet away. She is seen placing a ladder against the house then taking a security camera off it and putting it in a vehicle.

Since the order went into effect Oct. 30, the suspect has violated it at least six times. The parents said they will put the security cameras up higher so she can’t get to them.
