BHS baseball home opener is a 2-0 Spartan shutout

The Bainbridge High School varsity baseball team won their first game of the season at home, 2-0, over the visitors from Central Kitsap.

The Bainbridge High School varsity baseball team won their first game of the season at home, 2-0, over the visitors from Central Kitsap.

Having already been forced to cancel two games due to weather-related field conditions, Spartan Head Coach David Smart said he was proud of the team’s performance and that he and the team were excited to get the season underway.

Duncan McCombs went 2-for-3 at the plate for Bainbridge, with two hits and an RBI.

Fellow Spartan Dylan Vchulek had one hit and one RBI.

The Spartans will play again at home at 4 p.m. Monday, March 24 against Franklin High.
