Thursday, Oct. 18

4:58 p.m. A young man’s jacket and wallet were stolen from a home on Old Mill Road. The wallet was later found by a bike rider on Lynwood Center Road. Money was missing from the wallet. The father told police that he had also found another person’s wallet a while ago, and that human excrement had been found three times on his property. His truck had also received damage as if someone took a tool and scratched it. The father felt that all the incidents were somehow related.

Friday, Oct. 19

9:16 a.m. A former taxi driver reported that his former boss was harassing him and his wife over the telephone. The boss repeatedly called and wanted to know where the driver left the taxi and keys. The driver returned them to the business property and the boss neglected to check.

10:26 a.m. An unlocked car on Sunset Avenue was entered and a briefcase containing valuable personal and financial information was stolen. The briefcase was discovered in a ditch off Tani Creek Road.

4:10 p.m. Police responded to a domestic disturbance on High School Road. A neighbor believed she heard a woman yell, “Stop, you’re hurting me. You’re going to kill me.” Officers found that a man and woman had gotten into an argument. At one point, the woman began throwing things against the wall and kicking items in the home. Both the man and the woman said that nothing physical occurred. The woman packed a bag and left.

6:03 p.m. A mooring buoy without a permit was removed from the waters off Pleasant Beech Drive. The buoy was first reported in 2010. It was tagged, but no owners could be located.

Saturday, Oct. 20

7:25 p.m. A resident on Cherry Avenue reported a noise disturbance coming from a lawnmower on the Wing Point Golf Club. Police investigated the noise and could hear it, but did not locate the lawnmower.

10:54 p.m. A person under the age of 21 repeatedly attempted to steal bottles of booze from the Safeway on High School Road. The young man, who was intoxicated, was caught on camera stuffing a bottle of flavored vodka down his pants. He then purchased other items and left the store. He returned later that same day and repeated his snatch-and-pants operation with a bottle of whiskey, but was intercepted by store employees. He was arrested for theft and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

The young man told officers that he was “pissed off” because he was almost 21, yet Safeway still refused to sell him alcohol.
