Why do you like Thanksgiving?
“Because the food is good and you get to play with your cousins.”
Do you like the turkey best, or mashed potatoes? Cranberries?
“Turkey. I like meat, and it has meat in it.”
Is it hard to cook a turkey?
“Not really.”
How do you do it?
“My grandpa and grandma never told me, but I think I know how to do it. You get a turkey for a pet, and when it’s Thanksgiving, you kill it first, outside, then you take all the feathers off. Then you put it in a pan and then you cook it.”
Have you been learning about Pilgrims?
“Yes. We were watching movies while we eat lunch. They builded houses. And they grew stuff. And the things that they grew, they picked to eat.”
What are you thankful for?
“I’m most grateful for the turkey. And my cousins and stuff.”
