The senior members of the Bainbridge High boys varsity basketball team earned a sweet Senior Night reward as they and the rest of the team sailed to a relatively easy 48-32 victory over the visitors from Kingston High during Saturday’s home game.
Though not actually the final home game of the year, Spartan Head Coach Scott Orness said the Saturday matchup was the better choice for Senior Night, as weekend games tend to draw a larger crowd and the timing would allow more parents to be home and attend.
Kingston scored first, but the Spartans quickly took the lead and held it for the majority of the game.
This year’s Spartan squad consists of eight senior players: Jake Philby, Trent Schulte, Blake Swanson, Dawson Gonwick, Daniel Locascio, Ben Beatie, Riley Irish and Oskar Dieterich.
