Washington State Ferries is advising travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route to expect heavy traffic Friday, Aug. 14 as the Seattle Seahawks play the Denver Broncos in a preseason football game at CenturyLink Field.

The game starts at 7 p.m. Friday, and WSF said ferry riders should be prepared for long lines eastbound in the afternoon and westbound in the evening.

To expedite loading, passengers are encouraged to pre-purchase their return ferry tickets to Bainbridge online or at a kiosk.
