Bainbridge officials will host the second part of the Community Conversation about water next week at Bainbridge Island City Hall.
The session will highlight the most recent work for the city by Aspect Consulting, and the presentation will include an assessment of monitoring data, an evaluation and improvement of the city’s groundwater model and a summary of the consultant’s first model run of Bainbridge’s critical aquifer recharge areas.
The public meeting is the latest of a three-part series exploring the state of Bainbridge’s groundwater. The forum is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 in the council chambers at city hall.
The evening will also include a question-and-answer period.
Questions can be submitted in advance to pcd@bain
bridgewa.gov or in writing during the meeting.
Any questions not answered at the meeting will be answered after the workshop and sent out via listservs and posted on the web.
The reports from Aspect can be accessed on the city website and include a technical memo on the Hydrogeological Assessment of Groundwater Quantity, Quality, and Production, and a technical memo on the Bainbridge Island Groundwater Model: Review Findings and Recommendations and Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas Assessment.
