A total of 40 candidates have now filed for office so far, according to the Kitsap County Elections Division.
Filing Week started Monday, May 12.
Candidates who have filed since late Monday include 23rd District lawmaker Rep. Drew Hansen, who is seeking another term in Olympia, and Port Orchard attorney Tina Robinson, who filed Tuesday as a candidate for the office of Kitsap County prosecutor.
“I am running for Kitsap County Prosecutor because I believe the resources of the county should be more effectively and efficiently used,” Robinson said.
“The policies of the prosecuting attorney’s office should reflect a concern for justice, a compassion for victims, and a priority on those crimes involving victims,” Robinson added. “I believe that my life experiences, role as a defense attorney, and my experience in administration and management make me uniquely qualified.”
