The project to redevelop Bainbridge Island’s Waterfront Park is still in its early stages, but city officials are wasting no time in gathering community input.

The city is asking local merchants and business owners to weigh in on the redevelopment project. Another public meeting aimed at attracting local businesses is scheduled from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 in the council chambers at Bainbridge Island City Hall.

Merchants are encouraged to offer opinions and ideas on the Waterfront Park project from their perspectives as business owners.

The city of Bainbridge Island is halfway through a public outreach effort to redevelop Waterfront Park. One public meeting was held on June 1 to gather community ideas for the redevelopment of the park and the city dock.

A follow-up community meeting is scheduled from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at the Waterfront Park Community Center.
