Friday, June 6

8:33 p.m. A Bremerton woman was enjoying a picnic with her family at Lytle Beach when an older Kingston couple parked too close to the woman’s car. The woman told police she was at her car putting food items away when the couple drove up, and she heard a loud noise.

The woman saw that the driver of the car had folded her rearview mirror and then hit her car with his door when he got out. When she confronted the man, he said that if she hadn’t taken up three spaces, then it wouldn’t have become a problem. The man then walked the length of her car.

When the woman checked her car for damage she found a six-inch key scratch where the man had walked past her car.

Monday, June 9

12:08 p.m. Someone broke into a car that was parked at a private residence near the Safeway.

The car owner found the seats reclined forward. The contents of the glove compartment and other storage areas were emptied onto the seats. The only thing found stolen was a universal car charger.

The car owner told police that she had experienced a similar car prowl in December 2013.
