Matt Stone scorched to a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash and also won the 200-meter dash at last week’s home meet against Lakeside and Bishop Blanchet.

Stone ran the 100 in 11.44 — his best mark of the season.

Zachery Schmidt of Bishop Blanchet was second in 11.84, and Joseph Misenti of the Spartans came in third by clocking 12.04 in a three-way tie with Henry Halvorson and Kenon Morgan of Bishop Blanchet.

In the 200-meter dash, Stone took first place in 24.21.

The Spartans also won the boys 800-meter run and the boys 4×400-meter relay.

Tyler Cox won the 800-meter in 2:02.56, his best time this year in the event.

In the 4×400-meter relay, Cox joined Tyler Martinez-Green, Ford Eimon and Austin Harper for the first-place win. The Spartans finished in 3:43.42.

Bishop Blanchet’s A Relay Team of Oliver Manley, Tom Simpson, Tyler Little and Trevor Farthing was second in 3:44.47.

Bainbridge collected another first-place victory in the boys high jump, after Jack Odell cleared 5-10.00.

In girls events, Bainbridge proved impressive in the 400-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles.

The Spartans placed first, second and third in the 400.

Aerin Amore won the race in 1:05.39.

Cristen McCann was second for Bainbridge in 1:06.45, and Lindsay Wienkers was third in 1:06.66.

Katelyn Shephard continued her winning ways in the 100-meter hurdles. She was first with a time of 16.37.
