BELLEVUE – The Bainbridge High varsity coed tennis team scored an epic win in Bellevue last Friday and claimed a 10-1 win over Eastside Catholic.
Bainbridge won every match except Girls Singles No. 1, where Ellie Van Slyke was bested 6-1, 6-2 by Rachel DeCaires.
The Spartans were awarded Girls Doubles No. 1 by default.
In Girls Doubles No. 2, Raya Duessen and Hayden Tutty claimed an 8-1 win.
Jeremy Lipshutz and Alec Chan were forced to go the distance (7-6, 6-6, 7-2) to win the Boys Doubles No. 1 match.
Aiden Sullivan and Maxwell Brown had a much easier go (6-0, 6-0) in Boys Doubles No. 2.
Luke Hurd and Elizabeth Viele brought home the Mixed Doubles match for BHS 6-6, 11-9, 6-4.
In Girls Singles No. 2, Tara Nikomborirak claimed a 6-2, 6-3 win.
The third Girls Singles match saw Quinn Dassel similarly represent the Spartan squad: 6-1, 7-5.
Bainbridge also claimed all three Boys Singles events as well.
Ben Devries (6-0, 6-0), Holt Ogden (6-0, 6-1) and Eli Wagner (6-0, 6-0) each served and swung their way to a win for BHS.
