Work is underway on the repaving project on Madison Avenue, and drivers can expect short delays as traffic has been limited to one lane near the Madison-Wyatt Way intersection.
The partial street closure started shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Crews from Granite Construction got started on the $553,000 street makeover Monday after a one-week delay.
The project — which will stretch from Winslow Way to High School Road — includes new asphalt, an overlay and pavement marking on the main arterial into downtown.
Stormwater improvements and replacement of the curb ramps are also planned at the Wyatt Way and Madison Avenue intersection.
