The city of Bainbridge Island is back in the 21st century.

Employees at city hall regained access to their email accounts after a one-day shutdown of the system that was caused by a power outage on Monday.

A city official said the city’s email was restored just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The city is still awaiting the delivery of a part that is needed to repair the city’s network server, however. City officials expect to have the part in hand by early Tuesday afternoon.
