The young actors from Bainbridge Performing Arts Theatre School will present their annual Winter Showcase on Tuesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 24.
The family-friendly event features talented students in the second through 12th grades. The show opens at 7 p.m. with “Bainbridge to Broadway ‘16”, by Liz Ellis and Zandi Carlson, and follows, at 8 p.m., with Shakespeare’s classic comedy “Twelfth Night”
“Bainbridge to Broadway ‘16” includes music direction by Michelle Abad and choreography by Helen Heaslip. Part of the BPA Theatre School’s “Performance Series,” in the show students present a musical revue featuring popular and classic Broadway hits strung together with charming scenes.
“Twelfth Night” is presented by the school’s “Teen Intensive” students. William Shakespeare’s classic comedy features mistaken identities, sword fighting and true love.
When Viola is washed ashore in Illyria, she must disguise herself as a man, only to fall for Duke Orsino, who is in love with the Countess Olivia, who falls in love with Viola, disguised as Cesario.
