Both Spartan basketball teams lost first-round games in Metro League tournament action on Tuesday. The boys lost to Franklin 63-45, while the girls fell to Holy Names 49-26.
Both teams will play on Thursday.
The girls face Lakeside at 6:30 p.m., while the boys take on Seattle Prep at 8:15 p.m. The games will be at Ballard High School.
The winners receive a first-round bye in the district tournament which begins next week, while the losers will host the Metro League’s No. 7 seed in loser-out games on Tuesday.
