If you read the police blotter, one wonders why we have 29 police officers on an island of 23,000 people. That’s roughly one per 800 people.

Police officers are very expensive in salaries, benefits and equipment. Given the very low crime rate, can’t we save some tax money by reducing this number to something more sensible?
