PASCO – The Bainbridge boys varsity cross country team claimed the seventh overall spot at the recent 3A Washington Interscholastic Activities Association State Cross Country Meet at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
Runners from 16 schools took part in the event, with North Central High claiming the top spot with a team score of 75.
Bainbridge (185) bested teams from Glacier Peak, Juanita, Nathan Hale, Edmonds-Woodway, Peninsula, Bonney Lake, North Thurston, Capital and Hazen.
The three speediest Spartans were senior Ryan Cox (14th, 15:46.8), senior Devon Reynolds (34th, 16:13.2) and Sebastian Belkin (37th, 16.18.0).
The top three male runners of the day were North Central’s Justin Janke (first, 15:02.0), Arlington’s Nathan Beamer (second, 15:18.8) and Bishop Blanchet’s Peter Hogan (third, 15:20.2).
