Snap your fingers, because this weekend is full of cool beats, Latin dancing and art for days.

First Friday kicks off at 5 p.m. Per usual, venues vary, but don’t miss the Bainbridge Public Library’s father-daughter exhibit from Stephen Hubbard and Deliah Waumett. Because parent-child bonding time can be so much more than softball practice, science projects and eating ice cream.

Step up your print game at the first of Bainbridge Arts & Crafts’ letterpress demo series from 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jenny Wilkson and Carl Montford of the School of Visual Design will help you make your own poster using Montford’s incredible wood engravings and antique wood type. No charge.

Then scoot on over to Bainbridge Performing Arts for a day of madness in the palace of Count Almaviva. Norm Hollingshead hosts Seattle Opera’s preview presentation of “Marriage of Figaro” from 2 p.m. While we’d love to see him break out in arias, we’ll settle for an engaging overview of the history, music and stagecraft at work in the upcoming McCaw Hall performance.

Your Saturday night party animal has a decision to make: swing dance or soul sirens. Maia Santell & the House Blend will take Island Center Hall at 7:30 p.m. $20 gets you on the floor, with workshop instruction until 8:30, when you can let the beast loose until 11 p.m. Across 305, your evening takes on a smokier hue with the hypnotic melodies of Scarlet Parke and Naomi Wachira’s stirring, satin voice. The Space Craft show begins at 7:30 p.m. and costs an easy $10. Visit www.spacecraftpresents.org.
