Tuesday, May 5

8:15 p.m. A 17-year-old Bainbridge girl in a 2006 Honda Accord was driving south on Moran Road NE and a coyote ran in front of the car.

The driver swerved and braked, causing the Honda to hydroplane, and the vehicle left the roadway and hit thick shrubbery on the side of the road. The vehicle was damaged on the side, roof, front and rear.

The driver was not injured.

Thursday, April 30

12:30 p.m. – A 92-year-old Bainbridge woman in a 2005 Ford Taurus  misjudged the distance between her car and a 2014 Toyota while pulling into a parking space on Madison Avenue near Wallace Way and struck the other car.

While leaving at 2 p.m., the same driver hit a 2014 Ford on the way out.

She said she again misjudged the distance between the two vehicles. Police said neither vehicle sustained reportable damage.

Wednesday, April 29

3:09 p.m. A 56-year-old Bainbridge man said several UPS packages were stolen from the front porch of his home in the 16300 block of Euclid Avenue NE.

One contained Keurig Coffee valued at $150. Another contained three pairs of shoes that had been sent off to be repaired and were worth $1,300. The other package contained two pairs of Italian trousers made by Brunello Cucinelli and Zegna, valued at $900.
