BAINBRIDGE – Two Bainbridge Spartans have been named to the 2016 All-State Team, the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association has announced.
Six players for the Bainbridge High girls varsity lacrosse team have also been honored as picks for the 2016 All-Conference Team in the Alki Conference.
The All-Staters for Bainbridge are senior Sonia Olsen (attack) and junior Kierra Havill (defense).
The Spartans named to the All-Conference Team are Olsen, Havill, junior Sophia Hagstromer (attack), Robin Hilderman (midfield), sophomore Mackenzie Chapman (midfield) and sophomore Maggie Sweeney (defense).
Spartan Amy Willerford has also won a 2016 US Lacrosse All-Academic Award.
A US Lacrosse All-Academic Player is one who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom.
