Cello Mania comes to the Bainbridge Art Museum at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.

Listen to the wonderfully rich harmonies of Cello Mania playing a great mix of classical, folk and even some cello bop. This family concert is designed for fun in an exclusively celloistic way. Not many instruments have the vast range of pitch as the cello, that allows for ensemble playing with their “own” kind.

Cello Mania includes cellists from Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, and other corners of the Northwest cello world. Performers include Barbara Deppe, Carson Farley, Christine Edwards, Catherine Edwards, Julia Edwards, Peggy Thurston, Dave Durfee, Gisella Gonzalea, Marie Miller, Marit Ellerby and Priscilla Jones.

Suggested donation is $15. Proceeds will support a cello student scholarship fund to offset the costs of study and performance opportunities.
