The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art hosts “The Heart of Bioethics: A Conversation about the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.

Henrietta’s cells were taken from her without her knowledge or permission. Neither she nor her family realized any gain from the sale of her cells though others did.
