The free Concerts in the Park series features African Showboyz, a tribal ensemble from Ghana, West Africa, at Fay Bainbridge Park at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
Grab the kids, a picnic and enjoy an evening of music and dance at the free concert series, sponsored by the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District.
The shows continue through August.
The lineup is:
July 31: Hawaiian Luau with Kani Kapahu O Lohiau and Ire Nation. Traditional Hawaiian music and hula will blend into modern rhythms of today for a South Pacific musical journey. Wear your Hawaiian styles! The concert is at Fay Bainbridge Park.
Aug. 7: Massy Ferguson. Raucous rock-and-twang band delivers electrified Americana at Battle Point Park.
Aug. 14: Tiller’s Folly. Americana/Folk/Celtic group from Canada. The concert is at Battle Point Park.
Aug. 21: Grupo Meridional. Celebrate the last days of summer with sizzling Latin/Cuban dance grooves from the island’s own Alan Simcoe and band at Battle Point Park.
