Officials with Washington State Ferries announced that travelers on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route are facing a two-boat wait for a ferry headed to the island.

Heavy traffic to Bainbridge is the cause of the delay. The announcement was made just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3.
