BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans soaked themselves in wins — racing to first places in 11 out of 12 events — as Bainbridge beat Eastside Catholic 140-37 in girls swimming and diving late last week at the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center.
Bainbridge also took second place in 10 of the events.
The Crusaders found their only first in the 100-yard freestyle.
Bainbridge started the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, and it was off to the races from there, with Mackenzie Chapman following with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle (and a Metro qualifying time of 2:18.54) and Hannah Tonsmann winning the 200-yard individual medley (district time of 2:21.20).
Erin Miller prevailed in the 50-yard freestyle (district time of 26.69) for BHS.
The Spartans also went one, two, three in diving.
Cammy Rouser was first for Bainbridge, followed by Jackie Helmers and Alathea Pippinger.
