Two spotlight shows featuring works on — and of — paper will be showcased at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts throughout the month.
“Bend, Fold, Mutilate: Paper Takes Shape,” will demonstrate the physical versatility of the medium through the works of several artists, including kirie, 3D sculptures, jewelry, collages and much more by Caroline Cooley Browne, Masako Guidry, Keiko Hara, Nikki McClure, Lynnette Sandbloom, Carolyn Terry, Elizabeth VanDuine, Shu Ju Wang, Susan Wiersema and Helga Winter.
In “Henry’s Tweets: Cartoon Sketches by Henry J. Dietrich,” guests can peruse a witty and charming collection of drawings by Dietrich (1918-2000), a painter, created while on the job as a cartoonist and illustrator at the San Francisco Chronicle.
“Henry’s Tweets” comes to BAC courtesy of Tom Lonner and Elizabeth Ward, with proceeds benefiting BAC and West Sound Wildlife Shelter.
There will be an artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4 during the First Friday Art Walk.
The exhibitions run through March 27.
Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is at 151 Winslow Way East.
