Field’s End is looking for volunteers to help the organization grow in the coming year and beyond.
Field’s End, an affiliate of the Bainbridge Public Library, offers workshops, classes and other events focusing on the art, craft and profession of writing. The organization is hosting a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the library to chart out its future and talk with potential volunteers.
Members of Field’s End say the group is at a crucial point; with funding and new connections plus ideas galore that came from the organization’s September retreat.
What Field’s End needs now is committed people to help implement the ideas raised at the retreat for new workshops, events and synergistic partnerships.
Do you have organization skills, energy, and, most important, the ability to work collaboratively? Do you love the written word? Do you want to connect to the broader community of writers, editors, and most of all, readers, that Field’s End serves? Do you want to meet new people? Would you join others in seeing Field’s End continue into its next decade?
At this week’s meeting, members of Field’s End will talk about programs for 2014, programs already planned, and programs the group is hoping to implement. Volunteers can share their interests and skills and learn about opportunities to help.
