Gypsy jazz band Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will play a special concert event at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 featuring the varied and unique stylings of three separate vocalists.

Each guest singer has performed with the group previously, each time to positive audience feedback.

This concert, however, brings the three vocalists together for the first time in one performance.

The “Sirens of Swing” will be backed by the band’s regular soloists on violin, mandolin, and guitar.

Admission is free, donations are appreciated.

The special contributors include Ann Parker, Molly Knell and Monica Finney.

Parker has sung with groups around the world, including the International Choir of Prague and the Czech Gypsy Jazz group Les Pacopotes from 2010 to 2012. She also plays guitar and ukulele.

Knell grew up on Bainbridge Island and first sang on stage in a production at Bainbridge High School. She later received classical training at Whitman College, and first performed with Ranger and the Re-Arrangers in 2009.

Finney is an actress, performing with several companies in Seattle. In addition to classical voice studies, she has trained in musical theatre. She also fills in with the band on percussion.

Ranger and the Re-Arrangers evoke the spirit of a Paris cafe and the raucous energy of a Gypsy campsite with their unique twist on gypsy jazz.

The band’s repertoire includes swing standards, traditional Gypsy melodies, and the music of Django & Grappelli. Founded in 2006, the band has released three albums and played more than 500 shows.
