Fight cancer by honoring those who fight it daily | Letters | April 2

Did you know that one in three people will be affected by cancer?

The good news is that cancer rates are declining, but there is so much more to be done.

On July 17 and 18, for the fifth year Bainbridge Island will participate in The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life at the Bainbridge High School stadium and track.

We will join more than 4,000 relay communities nationwide and around the world in the fight against cancer as we honor and remember those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the event. You may be interested in forming a team to participate in this year’s event.

We encourage you to visit our Web site at: www.relayforlifeofbainbridge.org. Join us for an informational meeting at the Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic at 7 p.m., April 14.
