Starting this month, city water and sewer customers will be able to sign-up for electronic billing.
Bainbridge has decided not to charge a fee for the service, and city officials said the purpose of introducing eBilling as an option is to provide increased convenience for customers who prefer to pay their bills electronically, as well as to have a positive impact on the environment by reducing paper usage.
City water and utility customers will be able to view and pay their bill online by visiting https://cityofbi.afts.com and creating an account. After creating an account, customers can log-in with their user name and password and sign up to receive a PDF file bill. Customers will be able to open the PDF with the same password they use for their account.
City officials also noted customers will still get paper bills if they sign up for eBilling, but can also discontinue paper bills through their online account.
