Glimpses of the Galapagos Islands, a photography exhibit by Sue Hylen, will be featured at The Traveler in October.
Hylen visited the Galapagos in June 2011.
“This exhibit is my attempt to capture the magic of the friendly fearless creatures that greeted me each day at various times throughout my visit,” she noted. “This fragile ecosystem is most fascinating as the birds and animals treat you as one of them and do not flee when encountered by visitors.”
The Traveler is located at 265 Winslow Way East.
Hylen, who is the arts and cultural manager for Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District, said her inspiring trip has led to the desire to share the experience with others. Teaming with Galapagos guide Whitman Cox and Connie Champlin, they are planning the Galapagos Adventure Tour.
The tour is April 26 to May 8, 2013 and includes a stay on three different islands and visits to others in the Galapagos. For more information on this trip go to www.biparks.org or email sue@biparks.org.
