The 28th annual July 3rd Street Dance will return to downtown Winslow Friday from 6 to 11 p.m., with all the usual fun, food and festivities.
Victoria Robertson, known as the professional Ice Queen, will be performing for kids of all ages in the traditional fun-filled festival full of music, games and treasure hunts at Bainbridge Island’s holiday street dance and block party.
Having taught children’s music classes, sports camps and theater, Robertson knows what it takes to keep kids entertained, active and creative.
Robertson has been a professional children’s entertainer for more than five years and now has invited the Pirate King to join in the magic. Kids are invited to wear their favorite costumes to the whimsical show, which starts at 6 p.m.
In addition to Ice Queen Victoria and the Pirate King, sidewalk chalk, balloon clowns, glitter tattoos, treasure hunts and a costume parade will round out the fun.
Also, the July 3rd street dance will feature two stages, one for live music and the other for a DJ.
This year also features more incredible food choices than ever before including familiar favorites like BI BBQ, Clara’s Wok, BonBon, Scoops Nuts & Brats and old fashioned hot dogs at the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum will be joined by new taste treats from J’aime Les Crepes (sweet and savory), 206 PIE’s pizza, salads and desserts as well as Jake’s Pickup, featuring amazing crab and smoked salmon sliders.
Intentional Table is also offering fresh oysters and BI Street Meats will be dishing up gourmet sausages and dogs.
Also new this year is the presence of two wine and beer gardens. Bainbridge Island Brewing will serve locally brewed craft beers and Ambrosia Wine Group will provide a delicious selection of white and red wine.
Winslow Way will be closed to vehicles from 3 to 11:30 p.m. Friday from Madison Avenue to Ericksen Avenue. Access to Town & Country Market will be available via a clearly marked detour. T&C will also be open on July 4 to foot traffic only.
