Our big star will make a welcome appearance this weekend on Bainbridge Island, as partly sunny weather is forecast Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service’s office in Seattle, a 40 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. Saturday will give way to partly sunny weather later in the day, with the thermometer hitting a high near 51.

On Sunday, get ready for another wet one.

There is a chance of early morning rain, then showers after 10 a.m. Forecasters say the chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

It will stay mostly cloudy through Sunday night.

On Monday, expect partly sunny weather, with a high near 52.
