Westside story sad for Spartans

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge Spartans went down with a fight during their season finish in varsity volleyball in the qualifying district match last Saturday at Chief Sealth High.

The Spartans, having already toppled Franklin and Ingraham in three games straight (3-0), fell to West Seattle in five games, 3-2, in the Halloween matchup.

It was the end of a tough season filled with many close matches, Coach Holly Rohrbacher said.

That’s true, but true, too, is the Spartans had a better year than last, with an improved overall record of 6-10.
