To the editor:

When we elect someone to represent us, we want someone who knows the job, is connected to the community and has a vision for the future.

Paul Andrews who is running for County Assessor has all of these qualities. It is impressive when we have the opportunity to put somebody in office who has already proven they know the job.

Another thing to consider when looking at candidates to vote for is their endorsements. I am impressed by the list of people that we believe in that believe in Paul. He has the endorsements of our last two assessor’s as well as the Kitsap Sun, North Kitsap Herald, Port Orchard Independent and Bainbridge Review.

Jim Avery’s endorsement shows bipartisan support of Paul, when a party turns their back on a candidate you have to take notice. I will be voting for Paul and I urge you to do the same.

It is about time we have an assessor who is working for us, keeping us informed about what is going on and someone who is willing to be held accountable.
