Washington State Ferries said ferries on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route have been delayed by heavy traffic.

The ferry MV Puyallup left Bainbridge 31 minutes late due to heavy traffic, and pushed back the departure of the 3:50 p.m. sailing to Seattle and the 4:40 p.m. sailing to Bainbridge.

WSF said other departures are also expected to be delayed.
