The council announced the three top candidates it is considering for the city manager of Bainbridge Island.
Councilwoman Anne Blair made the announcement at the council’s meeting Wednesday night. Two candidates come from within Washington State, while the third will travel from Connecticut to take her interview on the island next week.
Mark Hoppen is a former city administrator for the city of Gig Harbor. He was also the manager of development services and public works for the city of Puyallup.
Doug Schulze is another Northwest contender for the position. He is currently the city manager for Normandy Park, Wash.
Bonnie Therrien hails from Connecticut where she is currently the interim town manager of North Branford. She has also served as town manager of the cities of Wethersfield and Berlin, also in Connecticut.
