Ian Michael Shiach has graduated cum laude from Colorado College with a bachelor’s degree with distinction in environmental science and a minor in Spanish.

A 2008 graduate of Bainbridge High School, he is the son of Michael and Vivian Shiach of Bainbridge Island. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Colorado College is a nationally prominent, four-year liberal arts college that was founded in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Shiach is currently working at the University of Arizona in Tucson in the School of Natural Resources. He will start graduate school there in the fall.
